I had the pleasure to speaking with Frank La Vigne and Andy Leonard about IoT, Agriculture and Philanthropy. You can catch the episode here:
In this show, Frank and Andy talk to Steven Fowler about his recent award for implementing an IoT solution that may change agriculture and nutrition forever.
There’s a popular phrase going around these days that Data is “the New Oil.” I like this analogy for several reasons. One, it frames the conversation putting data where it rightfully belongs. Data has value, adds value, and enables scenarios that previously had been impossible or impractical. Oil has transformed the world. Much like oil, Data Science and Analytics, will transform the world in ways that we can’t even imagine yet.
Frank La Vigne is a software engineer and UX geek who saw the light about Data Science at an internal Microsoft Data Science Summit in 2016. Now, he wants to share his passion for the Data Arts with the world.
He blogs regularly at FranksWorld.com and has a YouTube channel called Frank’s World TV. (www.FranksWorld.TV). Frank has extensive experience in web and application development. He is also an expert in mobile and tablet engineering. You can find him on Twitter at @tableteer.
Andy Leonard is a self-described Data Philosopher who literally lives in Farmville. No, not the game, the actual town. He slings code and manages data. He has a rockin’ beard and gets stuff done.
